Why here
Sacramento is the middle of the good stuff.
Here's what I tell my friends from the Bay Area. You sell there, bring the cash here, and you've got a house with a yard and money left over. Tahoe is two hours. Napa is an hour and a quarter. San Francisco is a day trip. The American River runs right through town with 32 miles of trail, and in July you're swimming in Folsom Lake twenty minutes from your door.

It's hot in summer. The commute on 50 is real. I'll tell you about those too.
A while back I was talking with an older gentleman who moved here after living all over the country. His take on Sacramento: nowhere else gives you this much for the money. No humidity. City life downtown, suburbs if you want them, mountains an hour away, the Bay for a day. He called it the hidden gem of California and said it's the most underrated place he's lived.
I was born here, so I'm biased. He wasn't.
